Characterization of polycrystalline diamond compact with non-planar surfaces for drilling hard-formation

摘要: 采用国产铰链式六面顶压机,通过高温高压(HPHT)工艺合成出曲面结构聚晶金刚石复合片,即屋脊齿。实验室检测结果表明:相较于同规格平面齿,屋脊齿的耐磨性能提高40%,抗冲击性能提高30.8%,而切削力降低36.8%;同时,屋脊齿使用中选择合适的齿前角可提高钻井进尺量及钻速。实地钻探结果表明:相较于同规格平面齿,该屋脊齿的钻进距离及钻速分别提高78.1%、38.9%。Abstract: Utilizing domestic hinge-type cubic press,the non-planar face polycrystalline diamond compact(namely,the ridge cutter) was synthesized under high temperature and high pressure(HPHT) processes. The laboratory testing results show that compared with the planar cutter,the ridge cutter performs wear resistance increase of 40%,impact resistance increase of 30.8%,and cutting force reduce of 36.8%. Meanwhile,ridge cutter with the optimal caster angle could improve the drilling footage and drilling rate. The drilling data indicate that the compared with the planar cutter,the drilling footage and drilling rate of ridge cutter are increased by 78.1% and 38.9%,respectively.
