Background

自2009年开始至今，”西湖论剑沙龙“已经成功举办了十余届，形成了相对固定的会员及独特的沙龙文化，搭建了一个国际化的精密制造领域产学研紧密合作的高端平台，并在顾问委员会的精心指导和全体会员的共同努力下，取得了丰硕的成果。

The West Lake Swording Salon has been held for several years since 2009. There forms a relatively fixed membership and unique salon culture. The Salon has built a cutting-edge internaitonal platform for close cooperation between industry and research in the precision manufacturing area. With the elaborate guidance from the Advisory Committee, the members have achieved abundant fruits with the joint efforts of all members.

在繁重的科研与生产工作之外，西湖论剑沙龙为广大科学家和企业家提供了一个轻松愉快的交流平台。与会交流的专家在介绍科研进展时，应当将学术的严谨与文学的优雅相融合，实现科学性与艺术性的统一。

Beyond the heavy workload of scientific research and engineering development, the West Lake Swording Salon offers a relaxed and enjoyable platform for the members. The experts should dissolve the rigorous academic discoveries in the elegance of poetry when introducing his or her research progress, thus realizing the unity of scientificity and artisrty.
